Consultation Notice – Reduction to Published Admission Number (PAN) September 2027 – 2028
Tuesday 2 December 2025 – Tuesday 13 January 2026 (midnight)
As the admissions authority, and in accordance with 1.45 of the Schools Admissions Code, the local authority is consulting on the 2027 – 2028 Admissions Policies for:
- Community and Controlled Primary Schools on the Isle of Wight
- The Bay CE School
The proposed amendment is to reduce the Published Admission Number (PAN) at the following schools:
- Greenmount Primary School – reduction from 60 to 30
- Haylands Primary School – reduction from 60 to 30
- The Bay CE School (primary site) – reduction from 60 to 45
- Wroxall Primary School – reduction from 25 to 20
The number of places available for children to start Reception in September 2027 and all subsequent Reception cohorts will be reduced to the proposed Published Admission Number (PAN) for each of these schools.
The change to the Published Admission Number for the above schools is the only proposed change to the admission arrangements, all other criteria, including oversubscription, will remain the same.
