Jewellery

For safety reasons we do not allow jewellery to be worn at school other than ear studs where the ears have been pierced.  Where watches are worn we would advise you that this is at your child’s own risk.

If your child wears ear studs we will request that they self apply a plaster or tape covering to their ears during low risk PE activities.  During higher risk activities we will ask pupils to remove any ear studs.

We advise parents that if they wish their child to have their ears pierced it is most appropriate if this can happen on the first day of the summer holidays to allow six weeks for the site of the piercing to heal before returning to school.

Other

Hair – long hair should be tied back to avoid sharing head lice.

Fake Tattoos – please ensure these are removed before attending school.

Nail Varnish – please ensure nail varnish is removed before attending school.

Electrical items – please do not bring these into school to prevent possible loss and breakages.

Footballs – Could we please ask that any balls brought into school are non-leather, soft (plastic or foam) variety.
