Midday Lunchtime Assistant required at Shalfleet CE Primary School
2.5 hours per week (12-12.30pm) Monday – Friday, term time only
Contract: Temporary fixed until 22nd July 2022
Salary 1A – FTE £18517, Actual £1075.20
The Federation of the Church Schools of Shalfleet & Yarmouth Primary are committed to safeguarding children and staff. All staff at our Federation undergo stringent safeguarding checks before commencing in their role. Before applying for this role, may we please remind you that it is an offence to apply for the role if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our successful Federation. You will be required to supervise the children in the dining area, playground, field and school premises. Clean up spillages and ensure that tables and chairs are cleaned. To encourage social skills and good table manners, ensuring safety with knives and forks. Encourage and assist children to eat their dinner whilst being aware of special dietary requirements. Assist children with cutting up food, pouring liquids etc where necessary. Deal with any unacceptable or challenging behaviour under the direction of guidelines in operation at the school. Are you already an excellent lunchtime assistant or can show the skills to join our team, then we would love to hear from you.

Nursery and Pre-School Practitioner
The Governing body of the Federation of the Church Schools of Shalfleet and Yarmouth wish to appoint a dedicated nursery and pre-school practitioner to join our forward-thinking learning community.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our successful Little Explorers Pre-School, based on the site at Shalfleet C.E. Primary. You will be responsible for providing safe, high quality education and care for children from birth to 5 years, to fulfil legal and statutory requirements and to contribute to and implement policies.
This role would work closely with the Preschool Supervisor and staff to make sure the service offered meets the highest Ofsted and EYFS foundation stage standards.
