Parents Forum

Welcome to the Shalfleet Parent School Forum Group

Our School Forum Group is made up of the Headteacher as Chairperson with one/two representatives from each year group and staff/governors invited to join group meetings where appropriate. We believe regular and open communication between parents and the school is vital for encouraging progress and improvements. Parent Forums offer a direct way of enabling parents to have a voice within schools.

We hold at least one meeting every half term and our objectives are;

To represent year groups
To strengthen communication between class and parent
To work in liaison with other parents/carers discussing agenda items in order to feedback strengths, ideas and thoughts
To support and develop the Federation Priorities
To be informed of the Federation Development Priorities
To voice suggestions, ideas and thoughts
To strengthen the profile of the school in the community
To strengthen joint events within the federation

The forum is a great opportunity for open discussion on a wide range of topics such as;

Car-parking pick up & drop off
Cost of school trips
Parent teacher meetings
School policy
After school clubs
